A healthy house concert on the Albion Hill
ECO FILM + LIVE MUSIC + STORY + TALK
7.15 for 7.30 start on Monday 24th November, 2008.
You are most welcome to share an evening of uplifting film
- Affirming Life & Diversity: Pt 1. Onwards to Food Sovereignty -
followed by a little music, stories from the Shivalic Hills in Northern India and a talk around the universal connectedness of ourselves to each other and of all of us to the great mother, the planet who sustains us.
World Family supports interconnectedness between humanity and the planet through the promotion of the right to choose what we eat and how it is produced.
This is the first of a series of sharing, awareness and fund-raising nights taking place both before and after several of our World Family members travel to the 4-day Global Youth Festival for Food Sovereignty at Obefemi Awolowo University, South-west Nigeria. Proceeds from the events are intended to help towards recovering travel costs.
Paul Chi, a founding member of Eco Shiva, will be singing the Wildflowers song to introduce his tale of how a hillside community of smallholder farmers in Northern India intends to transform itself through adopting the natural ways of biodiversity, creativity and spiritual practice.
Light healthful refreshments provided - you are welcome to bring a little food or drink to share
